Hello everyone,
I want to install an empty conduit from the carport to the basement to run a 5-core cable and two solar cables inside it. The conduit is planned to enter the basement exactly at the location of a light well. There is no window in this light well; it serves as the exhaust outlet for my heat pump. There is a mounting frame in the wall about 48x48cm (19x19 inches) in size, surrounded by roughly 7cm (3 inches) of insulation, probably styrofoam.
My question is whether there is any reason not to run a conduit (about 50mm (2 inches)) through this styrofoam and then alongside the inside of the light well. From a positioning perspective, this would be ideal, and the conduit inside the light well would not cause any obstruction. At that point in the light well, the conduit would be exposed to frost, but the photovoltaic cables on the carport roof are exposed to frost anyway.
Attached is a photo.
Thank you very much in advance for your assessments!
