Hi everyone,

We want to organize some clutter in our attic and are looking for a simple and affordable shelving system. The attic has no knee wall and a roof slope of 27°. The shelf should be placed along the roof slope. Does anyone have an idea of something easy to buy off the shelf? Of course, the shelving doesn’t have to fit perfectly 🙂

Thanks!

Best regards,

My roof space is finished and turned into a guest room, so I started with the view from there.
Well, if it’s finished like that, it’s a different story. Although — if you can stand upright there for less than 30%, you really went all out to develop that space. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t have thought it was worth it for me...

Well, yes, everything that isn’t electric anyway. Or later on in the garden shed.
That would be too inconvenient for me if I needed it. Maybe paint supplies, but I use other tools more often, so I want to keep them within easy reach.

Yes, I’ll probably have a screwdriver, a hammer, and pliers somewhere in a drawer. But the eight quick clamps in three different sizes, the large case with fittings, brackets, and 12cm (5 inches) screws, the jack, the bolt cutters, the crowbar, the countless spirit levels and angle finders, files, rasps, mallets, hacksaw, Japanese saw, saw horses, workbench, plumbing supplies, and so on—I definitely don’t need those several times a week, let alone every day. And as I said, once the garden shed is there, I’ll put everything inside; it’s a bit more accessible there.

But first, I need to clear out the room so I can finally finish the interior work.

By the way, there are currently heavy-duty shelves available at Toom and b1 for 24.99 / 24 EUR...

oh,
that sounds like a van, tradespeople also have their vehicles full of tools.
Our storage room with shelves is always packed too,
where tools have to compete for space with pots, supplies, and wine bottles.

Yes, I had thought about that as well. But vans (or other transporters not made by VW) are currently unaffordable...
