Hello everyone, I recently installed an IKEA Metod kitchen with drawers and have noticed that some of the drawers do not slide as smoothly and quietly as I had hoped. In particular, the drawer runners sometimes feel a bit stiff and produce knocking or scraping noises when opening and closing. I suspect that adjustments or maintenance of the Metod drawer slides could help make the operation quieter and smoother. Does anyone have experience with this and can provide specific tips on how to adjust the IKEA Metod drawers for smooth and quiet movement, as well as recommend maintenance steps to keep these qualities lasting?

A silicone spray based on PTFE is ideal because it is water-repellent and does not promote dust adhesion. Thank you very much for the recommendation. I am also wondering how exactly the height adjustment should be made without over-adjusting. Is there a trick or a sensible order to align the Metod drawers optimally?

Sometimes it’s loose screws or a wrongly installed part. I will check the screws with a screwdriver to ensure they are tight, thanks for the tip.
