Hi,
I am urgently looking for a solid oak countertop. This model is no longer available at IKEA. Otherwise, I cannot finish building my kitchen... please offer everything you have, including cut-to-size options.
I will pay for shipping or can also pick it up from further away.

Are solid wood panels still available in thicknesses over 3cm (1.2 inches)?
At the moment, as far as I know, there is no numerical oak panel, and the new Metod countertops in solid wood are now only 2.8cm (1.1 inches) thick.
Has anyone had experience with the thinner countertops, including laminate, etc.? I’m asking here because I want a new countertop this summer, and most at Ikea are now only available in thinner versions.
Best regards

Are there solid wood panels available with a thickness over 3cm (1.2 inches)? With Metod, there are solid wood panels in 2.8cm (1.1 inches) and 3.8cm (1.5 inches) thickness.

miss-marple23 May 2014 11:26Oh yes, thank you,
I was only considering the pre-cut countertops, and those are only available as 3.8 cm (1.5 inches) thick veneered panels.
Best regards

IKEA-Experte23 May 2014 16:12For thinner panels, it is important to note that manufacturers often specify a minimum panel thickness of 38 mm (1.5 inches) when installing a cooktop above an oven.
