Hello,

I definitely want to replace the IKEA Atlant siphon in our new kitchen due to structural reasons. I know the siphon only costs around €10 (about $11), but I do not want and cannot install the IKEA Atlant.

After remodeling three kitchens, I can say it works. I did the conversion myself. Back then, we replaced everything. Unfortunately, I didn’t note which brands we used.

Now to my actual question: Has anyone already replaced an Atlant siphon? If yes, with which models? Since my previous plumber is no longer available, I have to start from scratch.

I have checked with the usual home improvement chains—everywhere the same answer: IKEA doesn’t use standard sizes but has its own measurements. Thank you, I already knew that. No further help was offered except the suggestion to consult a specialist retailer.

Thank you very much

Hello everyone,

In the meantime, I have also found a suitable siphon for the IKEA sinks. Unfortunately, I cannot provide a product number, but I bought it at the following plumbing supply store in Cologne:
Please no advertising for other companies... Thank you.

The staff there will surely be able to give you the exact specifications if you do not live in the Cologne area.

Total cost: 34 €

Good luck,
Stefan

Hi Hias,

With the following information, you can get the right parts at your sanitary supply store.
Blanco
ABLG.1*3 1/2 OAFB Overflow corner rectangular
227384

Do you have a manufacturer or model name for this? I can’t find anything with these details...

The manufacturer is Blanco, and the order number is 227384. On the Blanco website, under "spare parts," enter this number as the model or part number, and you will find drawings and individual components for the drain assembly.

Hey Ikea friends. I am now facing the same problem. My drain is too high, so the Atlant hose is hanging completely loose and is now basically functioning as a second trap. I’ve already checked all the nearby hardware stores, but they just laugh when I mention Ikea...

I’m thinking of ordering the Blanco drain fitting mentioned here if it helps, but I have two sinks. That means this solution won’t work anymore, right?
Another question that hasn’t been answered yet is whether the entire fitting including the strainer needs to be replaced or if it’s possible to just change the lower drain part. It would be really good to know.

In the picture, it looks to me like a prefabricated house (we have one ourselves). If that’s the case, I would simply open up the wall and reroute the drain downwards...

It is not a finished house. And I didn't want to go too deep into the details since I probably won't be able to handle that part myself.

No other ideas?
