Hej,

probably a very basic question. But I need to remove a current model Rationell kitchen drawer and haven’t figured out how to do it so far!

Help! 🙂

Hello,

press the white "nipple" on the left and right side of the rail from below with a pointed object. Then you can pull out the slider.
It’s not difficult once you know how 🙂

Tell me, how did you come up with that? Sure, fiddling around with a pointed object? Ideally so that the entire drawer gets bent and scratched, and if there's ever a warranty issue, you end up having to explain yourself. Great!

Reach under the drawer front panel at the front and pull upwards firmly. You need some strength for that. But it has to be that way, because the drawer is designed to hold significant weight. If you’re not confident, go to your nearest Ikea and ask them to show you. Most employees will encourage you to give it a try yourself. 😉

Tell me, how did you come up with that idea? Of course, fiddling around with a sharp object? Especially if it ends up bending and scratching the entire drawer, and then you have trouble explaining it if there’s a warranty issue. Great!

Reach under the drawer front from the front and pull up firmly with a strong tug. You need some strength for that. But it has to be this way, because the drawer is designed to carry significant weight. If you don’t feel confident, go to your nearest Ikea and ask for a demonstration. Most staff will encourage you to try it yourself. 😉

Definitely not...
That will cause problems over time. Nadine, please take a close look at the drawer first. If you frequently pry the drawer out with force like that, you will damage it.
As Bootos described, the correct way is to use a screwdriver or a knife (with a rounded tip). Although in my opinion a screwdriver is also somewhat sharp, it’s the better choice.
