Our plan was to convert the storage room into a guest toilet. We would like to move the shower in the existing guest toilet into the bathroom so that we can turn that space into a storage room. I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions.
Grundriss einer Wohnung: Flur, Abstellraum, Bad, Dusche/WC, Wohnen/Essen, Terrasse.

A small tip: Also ask if there are any electrical distribution boards or water meters in the utility room, because then you cannot block them off arbitrarily.

Maybe there is still the option to share the laundry room.....

Why don’t you have any space in the laundry room? Or do you want to do laundry in the apartment? (I can understand that)

All ground-floor apartments have their connection in the bathroom, the others in the laundry room.

I usually like to remodel if it offers clear benefits, but here I don’t see any major advantage except for a slightly larger storage room. Am I sacrificing important living space (the bathroom) just to gain a basement room? I would rather be glad to have this comfort as it is. Rent additional basement space? Small, dry garden shed? Throw things away—

We both grew up without a guest toilet. My husband would like the living room to be a bit bigger. His suggestion was to reduce the guest toilet by half. I don’t really think it would free up much more living space. The idea of a garden shed is a good one. And yes, we definitely need to declutter!

The idea is nice, but it doesn't work. I think the main reasons have already been mentioned. If you dislike the layout so much that you want to change everything, then another apartment would be an option.

This is currently the most affordable one on the market... We don't want to wait any longer. Of course, the apartment requires some compromises...
