Hello everyone,

We are currently renovating an old building, and my questions are specifically about the bathroom.

Background:

The room measures 2 x 4 m (6.5 x 13 feet) and will include a toilet and a double vanity. There is also a small niche next to the room, measuring 1.30 x 0.84 m (4.3 x 2.8 feet), where the toilet used to be. We want to use this niche as a shower area, which will be separated by a glass door.

My questions:

We have removed the window in the niche— is a special ventilation system needed for the shower area here?

The shower enclosure will be tiled up to the ceiling. What would be the best finish for the ceiling? Would a stretch ceiling be advisable?

Does anyone know a company that manufactures custom-made glass shower doors?

Looking forward to your answers!

Best regards

Hello Fravombau, ;-)

There are various options for ceiling design, such as standard plastering, lacquered stretch ceilings, or suspended ceilings with recessed spotlights.

Basically, the bathroom concept should be considered first, which will then determine the best ceiling solution.

Glass shower doors can be obtained from many glaziers (for a single glass panel) or from specialized manufacturers (for multiple panels).

It’s worth comparing prices, as there are significant differences in cost (and unfortunately also in quality).
