Hello everyone,
After careful consideration, we have decided to build a house using the "Lego" principle. Unfortunately, we have found very few suppliers online (actually only one) that also offer some level of support. It is important to us to always have a contact person available and to have someone present during the wall casting process. So far, we have only been able to find the company Argisol for this.
Do you know of any companies in the northern German region that offer this building method?
When I look at websites like VariantHaus or similar, it seems they only provide the materials, and the builder is then left completely on their own.

Hello Siegfried,
The prices are almost unbelievable. Respect. I assume you built in Germany.
My quotes from solid house builders for a turnkey project with 187 m² (2013 sq ft) of living space and 90 m² (969 sq ft) of usable floor area (including garage) were at least €550,000 excluding land. Just the interior finishing was quoted at €300,000.
What bothers me about the Izodom panels is that the plastic connectors appear to be available only for the 25 cm (10 inch) thick blocks. The other wall thicknesses use Neopor ribs, which are probably not ideal for sound insulation and fixing items to the wall.
There also seems to be a universal system with removable plastic connectors, but this is actually not needed. What did you use?
Please share some of your experiences. Looking forward to hearing from you… :-D
Thanks and best regards

- Did you get additional quotes from other Neopor formwork block suppliers? If yes, how did the comparable prices look?
- What is your impression of the quality of the blocks?
- Did you also use Izodom floor slab insulation? If yes, what was your impression?
- Which company handled the training for Neopor block installation? A German company? How was the experience?
- Who did the concrete work?
- How good are the alignment supports?
- Who prepared the reinforcement plans?
- How was the general support from Izodom?
Thanks and best regards

With companies that really put in a lot of effort (and I have also made progress)... I just can’t believe that.

Hello...
You built the house including the land for 200,000 euros? How much did your kit or the material from Izodome cost?
Thanks Try calculating backwards. For a 170 m² (1,830 sq ft) house, the windows would have cost around €30,000 (thirty thousand euros). The photovoltaic system €10,000. Electrical materials €7,000. Additional construction costs €30,000–50,000 (earthworks, sewage, telephone, water, electricity). Roof €30,000–35,000. Flooring €15,000. Interior plaster and painting €25,000–30,000. Sanitary and bathrooms €25,000. Interior doors €4,000. Exterior plaster applied? Foundation slab €5,000.
Oops – that already adds up to €200,000, and the land isn’t even included yet… nor the ventilation… and what else is still unpaid. With normal craftsmen, that is not possible.

Could it also be that Siegfried comes from the Polish company Izodom and just wanted to do some advertising?! 😎 Quote from the manufacturer:
“Costs: It’s hard to give a general statement. It depends on the region (Munich is more expensive than the Eifel), how complex the house design is, how much you do yourself, but roughly speaking, the costs for a shell construction are between €450 and €600 per square meter (approximately $490 to $650 per square yard).
If you build without a basement and do some work yourself, you can build a house with our system, around 150 m² to 170 m² (bungalow), for €120,000 to €130,000 (turnkey).”
I didn’t ask further about how the costs are calculated.
Development costs included in the price of the plot, perfect plot completely flat.
