Hello everyone,

After careful consideration, we have decided to build a house using the "Lego" principle. Unfortunately, we have found very few suppliers online (actually only one) that also offer some level of support. It is important to us to always have a contact person available and to have someone present during the wall casting process. So far, we have only been able to find the company Argisol for this.

Do you know of any companies in the northern German region that offer this building method?

When I look at websites like VariantHaus or similar, it seems they only provide the materials, and the builder is then left completely on their own.

You can pour concrete for an entire floor height in one go. I used the same system for the load-bearing interior walls. Non-load-bearing walls will be metal stud drywall partitions.

It seems you also used the formwork system in the basement.
How did you waterproof it there, and have you experienced any issues with dampness in the basement?
Unfortunately, I cannot send you a direct message.

Yes, it’s important to install a joint flashing. For waterproofing, you need to use something that adheres well to the polystyrene insulation. I used Remmers MB K2. Yes, it’s more expensive, but also very effective. It bonds to almost all surfaces and, unlike bitumen, it can also be plastered over.
We’ve been living in the house for 2 years now and haven’t had any moisture problems or anything similar.
But honestly, today I would prefer a white or black tank (integral waterproofing system). I think it might even be easier.

Thank you for your prompt response!
I did not install a joint flashing.
The waterproofing was done with KSK (which adheres very poorly to Neopor).
The lower and upper edges were skimmed. The horizontal barrier is only a formality with a sealing slurry.
At the top, I also skimmed with Remmers MB 2K. It is not significantly more expensive than KMB.

The house is far from finished, but it is already clear that the basement is not completely dry.

Would it be possible to get in direct contact with you (exchange phone numbers)? Unfortunately, I am not yet able to send private messages, but you can surely contact me.

I want to learn from others about the critical points to watch out for while I still can make changes.
The windows are not installed yet, and the flat roof will be done soon.

Best regards

I would say it’s going to be very difficult to make it watertight without a joint flashing, speaking a bit from experience.
