often it’s the small details that ultimately have a big impact on the quality of life and are easily overlooked during the planning phase. What small details should definitely be considered when planning?
For example, a towel radiator for the bathroom—is it practical or not?
Or a central switch for the electric shutters—is that useful or unnecessary?
Should conduits for the air conditioning system be included in the plans from the start or not?
I’m sure you have many more ideas that homeowners should think about already during the planning stage.
Best regards

However, I get the impression that it focuses on different issues. The other thread is mainly about major topics like double garages, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, forgotten basements, and what people regret having overlooked.
This thread is really about small details that don’t immediately cost tens of thousands of euros and not necessarily about things that were forgotten, but also about what other homeowners enjoy—or would have enjoyed if they had thought of it.
Burglar resistance would also come to mind as a topic. Or the pros and cons of rimless toilets. Whether to go for a custom-built vanity unit right away or not?

Yes, that has existed before as well:

Central control switch for roller shutters is definitely nice to have, but everyone can decide for themselves. I laugh at people who don’t include it unless they are building new, but that’s just my opinion.
It’s worth installing all possible conduits for things like air conditioning or underfloor heating in the garage or conservatory. It doesn’t cost much, and if you need it later, great; if not, no problem.
Towel heaters are up to personal preference.
I really like window sensors and a motorized lock on the front door.
Alarm system active and water supply shut off when locking the house twice.
Timed roller shutters.
Lighting under the roof overhang.
Electric roller shutters on skylights.
Laundry chute if the washing machine is in the basement.
But everyone has to decide for themselves.
