We want to install new flooring in three rooms (2 children’s bedrooms and an office). Currently, all three rooms have carpet. The rooms are heated with radiators, so there is no underfloor heating.
The new flooring should be durable since the children (7 and 4 years old) play on the floor a lot.
Which type of flooring is best suited for this? Hardwood flooring or cork?
Thank you very much for your recommendations!

My girlfriend now has a cork floor in her children's room. She also has two children, aged 5 and 8 years. They are two boys and quite active.
The cork floor is, of course, priced very differently compared to a hardwood floor. This cork flooring is also elastic, which is easier on the joints. It is also easier to install. However, impact sound insulation should be included. I consider this especially necessary on upper floors.

Thank you for your information. We also need to install new flooring. Based on your description, we will choose a cork floor. The tip about the impact sound insulation is also helpful. Our boy is very active, and his bedroom is upstairs.
Best regards
