Does anyone have experience with parquet flooring in a children’s room? I would like to have a high-quality lacquered oak engineered parquet floor installed (glued down because of underfloor heating). Or will such a floor no longer look good after a few years?

We also wondered at the time whether parquet flooring would be suitable for us or not. I find parquet visually very appealing, but my wife was concerned that the children might scratch the floor with their toys. We then decided on cork flooring because it was more affordable. To protect against scratches, we bought a larger rug for the play area and refresh the floor every few years.
Best regards,
