Hello everyone,

We are currently working on our paving.

The paving stones are from Kann Bausysteme and are called Parchetto.

We have the following issue. See pictures:

Outdoor area with gray-black paving stones and a red cable on the ground

Modern white detached house with gray paved area in the front yard; construction materials visible.

Is this type of installation acceptable? When the stones were laid, we were not at home but at work. Should the paver have been more careful?
Because the dark stones are placed directly next to the light ones, it looks very odd.
When we looked at the samples at the store before ordering, it was not clear that the color variations in this paving would be so pronounced.

The laying pattern looks like this:

Wooden crate with pumpkins, decorative gourds, and straw on paved surface.

We actually like this part. We are desperate and don’t know what to do. We don’t like how it looks at all.

Best regards

Oh yes, I’m also looking forward to the pictures.

Here is a picture after one year. Better late than never.
The carport is now also finished.
We are satisfied, even though some areas might be a bit too bright.
The bricks have blended in and are no longer as noticeable.

Ha, really funny. I actually thought the supposed mistake was quite cool and appealing. Now I find it okay – but rather more boring than before.

When the bricks are wet, the contrasts become much more pronounced again. There is still plenty of contrast present. It’s just hard to capture with a smartphone camera.

I wouldn’t like it; I personally prefer natural stone. But in any case, it is better than the neighbor’s paving.
