Hello,

can you really tell the difference if a professional did the work or a non-expert like me? I'm wondering if I could maybe save the 1000€ and spend that money elsewhere, because I think... anyone can paint. I've done it a few times myself and thought it looked pretty good, but I've never actually seen the direct difference.

I don’t understand, if you’re doing the painting yourself, you’ll need paint and to actually paint the walls. Or how do you do that? 😀

Of course I also need paint, but when I go to the hardware store, I buy the cheapest one I can find. However, a professional painter uses really good quality paint, which is accordingly more expensive.

Doing something like this yourself is no problem—unless you really dislike it, like some others here 😉 But if you work carefully, cover everything properly, and so on, there shouldn’t be any noticeable difference.

It simply takes longer when you do something like this yourself, because professionals are naturally more experienced. But I enjoy it, so I prefer to save the money.

I really don’t like doing things like that either. But just because you don’t want to, does it mean you have to spend that much money? I can’t afford that.

I hired painters for my old apartment, but in my new place, I did it myself with a few friends – a painting party 🙂 It was a lot of fun, and you can’t see any difference.
