Hello,

can you really tell the difference if a professional did the work or a non-expert like me? I'm wondering if I could maybe save the 1000€ and spend that money elsewhere, because I think... anyone can paint. I've done it a few times myself and thought it looked pretty good, but I've never actually seen the direct difference.

Well, of course there are significant price differences both in paint types and among experienced professionals 🙂 I also painted my apartment myself back then. I would say that you generally notice fewer differences as long as you stick to one brushing direction. It naturally took me quite a bit longer, and it becomes tricky if you want a different color on each wall. The transitions might then not be quite as precise.

Well, you’re not giving us painters a very good review. If it were all that easy, I wonder why it takes three years of training to become a painter and decorator when any amateur could do it just as well. Either you are a natural talent—or you might be overestimating yourself?! 😕
