Hello everyone,

I’m planning to furnish a living room and am looking for a furniture manufacturer based on the following criteria:

- configurable system
- including panel system (side panels / end panels)
- including desk or option for custom-sized panel cutting
- use of laminate or decorative surfaces (explicitly no veneer or solid wood!)

Do you have any recommendations?

All the manufacturers I’ve found so far use veneer or solid wood, which I don’t want. My current furniture has a high-quality laminate surface, and I can simply wipe it with a paper towel if something spills—no stains, no swelling, no worries about damaging an expensive veneer. That’s why I have this somewhat unusual preference for laminate or decorative surfaces.

I’d appreciate any tips. Price is secondary.

Best regards

Alright, so let's say I might go with veneer. :p Are there any recommendations for modern manufacturers, besides Rietberger Möbelwerke and Iro Möbel (both of which I am already quite familiar with)?

Nolte Furniture ... they don’t just make kitchens

or Hülsta

As far as I know, Nolte doesn’t make living rooms? (I have a bedroom from them and am very satisfied – including the finish!)

I throw Kettnaker into the competition.

and maybe also Interlübke.

I’m not sure if Team7 has something suitable besides very nice wall-mounted sideboards, but almost everything they make is solid wood anyway.

That's true, Nolte seems to specialize more in cabinets/dressers ... but maybe some of that could come in handy as well 😉.
