Hello everyone,

after receiving such great advice here about the ventilation system (I’m still waiting for the sizing calculations and will bother you again then), I have another question:
Do all your LED lamps buzz as well? My husband installed most of the new lamps today, and they are all buzzing! This applies to both fixed and replaceable light sources.
Most lamps are dimmable with a rotary dimmer (Opus 55 Jäger direct). The more you dim, the louder the buzzing gets. Is it the same for you? Why is that?
Oh, and when I put a halogen bulb in one of the replaceable sockets, the buzzing stops.

Best regards!

We have only one dimmable LED, but it cost almost 350,- due to the complex electronics. However, it does not buzz at all. Zero, nada buzz.

We had installed a dimmer for the LEDs in the living room. However, it was removed after a short time because it produced a buzzing sound. The noise also became louder depending on the dimming level. Now it works fine without the dimmer.

The LEDs do not produce any audible buzzing without the dimmer.

For me, there is no buzzing noise with the Eltako push dimmers and the corresponding designed lamps/light bulbs. However, the buzzing really depends on the quality of the bulbs or the installed LEDs.

Ours works without a dimmer. You turn it on with the light switch; it starts dark and gradually gets brighter. When it’s bright enough, you briefly turn it off. When it’s bright, it then slowly gets dimmer. You stop this by switching it off. Off means off. After a few seconds, you can turn it on again; it has forgotten everything and starts over. No dimmer.

What are the dimmers designed for? For LED lights?
