Hello,

My wife, my mother-in-law, and I are building a two-family house. Yesterday, my mother-in-law’s kitchen was ordered, and I then noticed that the wall cabinets will be mounted on a drywall (plasterboard) wall. How is this usually done?

Oh, and definitely ask the kitchen supplier about the installation height of the rails—there is no standard for this!

My architect said that all drywall partitions are double-layered. First, there is some kind of wood framework, followed by the drywall.

The question is also how your house provider constructs their wall build-up.
We also use drywall panels, but only as a finishing layer; behind that, there are wooden walls.
We can easily attach anything up to about 80 kg without anchors, simply screwing it into the wood.

It’s the same for us. First wood, then drywall. I even double-checked this with the architect.

Then staple those things on...

What exactly do you mean by "something with wood"? If it’s OSB, no problem. But you might want to be a bit more familiar with the details.
