I am considering modifying my IKEA Hemnes bed to make it more functional, for example by adding extra shelves or changing the side of the bed, possibly converting it into a daybed or another type of bed solution. Therefore, my question is: Is there a guide or an official/recommended method for modifying a Hemnes bed? I have some general assembly instructions, but nothing specifically about modification or alteration. I would appreciate any advice—especially regarding safety aspects that should be considered during the modification. Thank you very much!
