Hello,
In my new kitchen, I have two 20cm (8 inches) wide pull-out Metod base cabinets.
After assembly, I have the following issues with both:
- The drawers do not close completely and stay about 2cm (1 inch) open. This is because there is a plastic part installed at the end of the drawer slide, which causes the drawer to only slide with some force. The cabinet only closes properly when I push the door firmly. Is this normal? Or can this plastic part be removed? The strange thing is that both cabinets have the same issue. I thought it might be a material defect, but having the same problem twice seems unusual, right?
- The other problem with one of the cabinets is that the drawer feels unstable. Everything is securely screwed together and the metal shelves are correctly installed. Nevertheless, the door and drawer wobble a lot when opening and closing. Does anyone know what might cause this?
A friend of mine also has this cabinet, but he does not experience these problems. He also has the plastic part at the end of the drawer slide, but his drawer slides smoothly over it. His drawer is also not as wobbly as mine, even though it was assembled the same way.
Does anyone have any advice for me?
Thanks in advance!
