Hello everyone, I’m currently considering whether it really makes sense to divide the Pax wardrobe into several smaller compartments. My idea is to better organize the storage space and possibly gain more clarity, especially for different categories like clothing, shoes, accessories, and maybe documents. However, I’m unsure if such a division might also restrict the actual storage capacity or make the wardrobe too inflexible. Does anyone have experience with breaking down the Pax wardrobe into smaller boxes or compartments? How does this affect usability, especially when combining the sections with shelves, drawers, and possibly small item inserts?

There are several factors to consider when dividing a Pax wardrobe into smaller compartments:

- Practicality: Smaller compartments make organization easier but may reduce storage capacity.
- Usability: Depending on the items to be stored, the layout should be optimized for different sizes.
- Modularity: The Pax system is inherently modular, so custom adjustments are advisable.

I recommend starting with an inventory and weighing the need for flexible versus fixed compartments. Additionally, it is helpful to plan the dimensions of the subdivided compartments before purchase to avoid wasting materials.

Regarding the Pax wardrobe subdivision into multiple small compartments, there are several considerations I would like to share:

- The mechanical load capacity of the boxes should not be underestimated. Some compartments can only hold lighter items.
- Air circulation: Fully enclosed compartments can cause odors, especially with clothing.
- Seasonality: It is advisable to store seasonal clothing flexibly; a very rigid subdivision system can be limiting.

In general, I recommend a balanced modular approach combining fixed shelves, pull-out drawers, and a few well-designed compartments.

Hello, I’d like to add that it also depends on your habits and the available space. In smaller apartments, it makes sense to use storage space efficiently, and small boxes can help with this. However, it is important to choose the compartments so that they fit your usage patterns.

One tip: start with a main system (shelves / fixed shelving) and then add individual boxes or containers as needed. This way, you can stay flexible if you require more or less storage space or want to adjust your organization systems.

And very important: the boxes should be easy to remove so that everyday use is not hindered.
