Hello,

I would like to install LAN cables in every room of the house after construction. The walls upstairs are made of drywall. Is it possible to run a LAN cable through the attic and then push the cables into the walls from there?
There is currently no flooring or covering in the attic. If the insulation is removed, it should be possible to access the drywall, right?
There are 3 rooms, and I want to install 2 LAN cables in each. I would prefer not to remove the wallpaper, but rather drill a hole next to an existing electrical outlet and push the cable in from the attic.
Thanks in advance for the answers.

It depends on how the stud frame of the drywall is constructed. If there are continuous steel beams running vertically, you won’t be able to push anything through.

What I can say is that the ceiling was covered first, and then the walls were installed beneath the ceiling. Is it possible that if I remove the insulation in the attic, measure where the wall is located, and then simply drill a hole from above through the drywall into the UW profile? Because then you could push a cable through the hole, right?

Please don’t take this the wrong way..

but as long as no one here has your exact house construction plan and the installation plan from your builder,
no one can tell you what is located where.

If you want to know, you either need a plan that shows exactly where in the wall which beam runs and how..
Or you need to ask your house company.

Ok, thanks for the response anyway.

If the walls have not yet been plastered, you can simply unscrew the drywall panels.
