ᐅ Ikea Pax sliding door light strip Översidan does not turn off automatically

Hello everyone,

We bought the Ikea Pax wardrobe with frosted glass sliding doors and the Ikea LED light strip Översidan.

Since our sliding doors have dampers, I hung a shelf under the damper and placed the light strip directly below the shelf. However, the light doesn’t turn off when the door is closed. I tested by hanging sheets on the frosted glass, and then it works. But that can’t be right.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hello, it sounds like too much light is still reaching the sensor through the frosted glass. Although this isn’t exactly the issue you asked about, have a look and see if this helps:
