Hello everyone.

I’m getting really frustrated. I bought a three-part wall cabinet set for my kitchen. The cabinets were easy to assemble, no problem there.

Now to my issue:

I have the Metod rail, but the holes on the rail don’t match up with the holes on the wall cabinets.
- What are the white plastic pieces that are inserted into the brackets on the back of the cabinets for?
- Should I screw the rail completely to the wall first and then hang the cabinets on it?
- Should I leave the rail as one piece?

The instructions are quite unclear. I’m usually fairly handy, but I just can’t figure this out.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,

most questions are pretty well answered in the instructions for the cabinets.
I have the Metod rail, but the holes on the rail don’t match the holes on the wall cabinets.
They don’t need to – the holes are for attaching the rail to the wall using the panels. The cabinets are then hung on and locked in place.
- What are the white plastic parts that are inserted into the brackets on the back of the cabinets for?
I assume you don’t mean the covers for the metal brackets inside the cabinet – the cabinets can also be hung without the rail, and for that you need these adapters.
- Do I screw the rail completely to the wall first and then hang the cabinets?
Yes. Hang and then lock them – this is clearly explained in the cabinet manuals.
- Should I leave the rail in one piece?
Yes – otherwise, one of the main advantages of the rail would be lost.
