Today, the oven was installed in my new IKEA kitchen.
However, the oven rests directly on the drawer of the oven cabinet, which now cannot be opened. The oven or the board it sits on should be about 0.5cm (0.2 inches) higher, but the board supporting the oven had pre-drilled holes in the cabinet.
Does anyone have an idea what I might have done wrong?
My idea would be to place a thin panel on top of the board to raise the oven slightly.
Thanks and good luck
Matthias

By the way, is it normal for the oven to emit some smoke inside and have a slightly burning smell at 180 degrees Celsius (356°F) after the first time you turn it on?
Good luck

IKEA-Freund24 Jan 2016 12:12Yes, this is normal. Please also refer to the commissioning instructions in the manual on page 54 (download version) ... 200°C (390°F) for 60 minutes is recommended to eliminate the smell of insulating materials and protective oils.
