ᐅ Ikea Malm bed headboard drill holes

Hello,

the screws securing the center rail to the headboard of my Malm bed have been ripped out. Therefore, I cannot use the existing drill holes.

Is it possible to purchase the headboard separately?

Or would it be possible to rotate the headboard 180 degrees and manually drill the appropriate holes (for the center rail and side panels) for the screws?

Hello, you cannot purchase the headboard separately. If it doesn’t matter how the other side looks, you can drill through the holes and use threaded screws with flat washers and nuts.

That sounds like a good idea. The back of the headboard is against the wall, so the backside is not important.
