Hello dear forum users!

I need your advice on the following:

I am planning to assemble an IKEA Faktum kitchen that I bought second-hand. For the wall cabinets, I have four 60x35cm (24x14 inches) units. Unfortunately, two of them are missing the corresponding Applåd fronts, which I have already found in the Faktum replacement parts service at IKEA. However, I still need hinges for these, and that's where the problem lies. From my research, I found out that integral hinges are required here, which IKEA does not sell separately. You can find them on eBay and similar sites, of course. However, I am unsure exactly which hinges I need because there are many different types. I have taken a photo of one of the units WITH the front attached. The hinges look like this:

Hinge on kitchen cabinet, opened, visible metal fittings

Questions:

1. Can someone tell me exactly which hinges these are and where I can buy them?
2. Are the fronts (see link above) the right ones for the Faktum 60x35cm (24x14 inches) cabinet?

I look forward to your answers!

Thank you very much!

Best regards

Martin

Hello, you only need the hinges shown in the photo if you want inner drawers inside the cabinet or if the doors need to open very wide. Ikea offers these dampers and hinges.

One damper per door is enough.

It is also possible to install the doors as lift-up flaps.

The chosen door is the correct one, it is just shown rotated 90° on the website.

Hello.

Great, thanks!

So the hinges are still available for purchase.

What I'm wondering now:

Can we assume that the front panel, as shown on the website, also has the appropriate recesses for the hinges on the short ends? I’m just concerned that it might be shown as it should be installed (which would mean the recesses are on the long sides).

What do you think?

Thanks!

You can count on that. The dowel holes are on the shorter side. That’s why I mentioned that the picture is rotated by 90°.
