ᐅ Ikea Besta – Adjusting and Aligning Drawers, Any Experiences?

Hello everyone,

We bought a Besta combination for our living room.

Assembly was as easy as always, but the gaps around the drawers look quite uneven.

I’ve already tried adjusting the rails and the small adjustment screws at the end of the rails, but this only changes the tilt of the drawer fronts, not the lateral alignment of the entire front to the right or left.

All the cabinets are properly plumb, and the drawers are assembled correctly.

Has anyone experienced this and have any suggestions?

Hello, try swapping the left and right drawers. If the gap is still too small afterward, the holes were drilled outside the tolerance range. Next, only replace the front panel to determine whether the issue is with the front or the drawer box.

If everything looks the same after swapping the drawers, check again using a square or carpenter’s triangle to see if all corners are exactly 90 degrees.

The sides of Besta cannot be adjusted.
