ᐅ How to modify a floor plan?

Hello everyone,

I already posted a floor plan in the building costs forum.
There was a comment that the children's rooms are too small.
Yesterday, I visited a show home for a quote and took a look at the rooms there.

I have to admit, I was a bit shocked by the size of the children's rooms, which were about 11 sqm (118 sq ft). So, hardly smaller than what we have planned. It’s hard to imagine the room size just from the paper.

Do you have any ideas on how to enlarge the three children's rooms on the upper floor without completely changing the entire floor plan?

Or if you have any other criticism or suggestions for improvement, feel free to share.

Best regards,
Steffen

What is supposed to be greedy or childish about that?
We need a 2-3 m (6.5-10 ft) wardrobe just for the bedding alone.

And now imagine having more than 5.
As I said, if it’s needed. I just don’t find it attractive. Huge walk-in closets – dark and boring. Such a waste of space if you’re mistaken.

Strange, we don’t. We put the beds into airtight bags and then store them under the bed (under the slatted frames). And for the covers, I have exactly one compartment. Done.

Could the children be moved to the basement, then an additional room for bedding could be set up? Alternatively, the children could also camp on the property, which they would probably enjoy.

Outsourcing... Great [emoji23]

Taking a moment seriously: you have revealed quite a lot about your parents' house in the last few pages. Could the new layout be based on that? It seemed like an ideal living space for you.
How large was the walk-in closet there?

But I have to ask: why is there always this back and forth here?
Sometimes no other staircase is acceptable, and then suddenly it is?!
What should we consider as final now?
I get the feeling that you’re not making progress with us here because none of us has the time to spend several hours creating a comprehensive design for you.
Maybe you should consider having your planner revise the design again?

If I understand correctly, only the exterior appearance matters to the committee. Then you can have the interior redesigned later. With this exclusive selection of architects and the high standards of the city planners, you can afford to be bold and demanding.
