I’m particularly interested in how resistant the shelves are to load, moisture, and scratches, as I often store heavy items in them and occasionally liquids might spill nearby.
Has anyone had practical experience with the load-bearing capacity and durability of the shelves in Brimnes furniture? Any information on the material quality and tips on how to best maintain the shelves would also be very helpful.

I have Brimnes at home and can say: The shelves are actually quite durable—at least as long as you don’t carelessly drop heavy weights on them.
A small tip: I use felt pads on the shelves inside the cabinet to protect the surface when moving boxes around.
