Hello everyone, I am currently looking into the best way to use the Ikea PAX system for storing a large volume of clothing. Specifically, I want to know how to adapt the modular structure of PAX to accommodate a wide variety of clothes while maintaining order, accessibility, and clarity. Which combinations of interior fittings, such as drawers, hanging rods, shelves, or baskets, work best? I am also interested in any practical tips for maximizing closet space without overcrowding the clothes. I look forward to your experiences and advice!

For clothing with high volume, the height-adjustable clothes rails are especially useful to make the most of the space. To expand on that: There are height extensions available for the Pax system that allow you to create stacked clothes rails, so you can hang shirts on the top rail and T-shirts or pants on the lower one. Additionally, drawers with compartments are great for keeping underwear or socks organized.
If you want to fully close the wardrobe, sliding doors can help utilize the space more efficiently—especially when there is limited room in front of the wardrobe. When managing wardrobe volume, I always recommend not only maximizing the space but also ensuring easy access and good air circulation inside. Clothes can suffer without proper airflow, especially when stored in large quantities.
