Hello everyone,
I am currently exploring how to use the Ikea Pax system in the most versatile and multifunctional way possible. Specifically, I am interested in how Pax wardrobes can be used beyond just clothing storage. What kinds of modifications and additions are possible to transform Pax, for example, into room dividers, workspaces, storage for hobby supplies, or even a small home office?
I am looking for ideas and practical experiences on how to creatively repurpose the system without compromising stability or design. Solutions suitable for small rooms would also be greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to your suggestions and discussions!

Hey Marielgo, great question! 😊 I’ve used my Pax wardrobe in many ways myself: as a room divider with double-sided fronts, so you can separate two spaces and have storage on both sides. Just add discreet casters underneath, and it becomes semi-mobile!
I’ve also combined shelves and drawers in one section, and added a small work surface next to it—perfect for a home office. If you remove the doors, you can even use it as an open room divider for books and decorations. Really cool, keep it up—the system offers a lot of possibilities! 👍

Oh yes, Pax is the Swiss Army knife of closet systems! 😂 I have my version as a mix between a wardrobe and a DIY workshop. Large boxes for tools at the bottom and clothes rails at the top. A real space-saving magician for a small apartment.
My tip: remove the doors, add some colorful boxes, and you’re done—a funky piece of furniture that still looks tidy. Multi-Pax never goes out of style! 😎

Does it work without additional anchoring? Also, I think many users rely too much on the standard setup. Maybe we should also discuss alternative materials and reinforcements to increase the versatility of the Pax.
