Hello everyone, I am planning to install several Ikea Platsa cabinet systems in my apartment, but the walls where I want to attach them are very different: one wall is solid masonry, another is drywall, and a third is a rather thin plasterboard partition wall. My question is: How can I securely and stably mount Ikea PLATSA cabinets on these different wall types? Which materials and mounting methods are advisable to both support the weight and avoid damaging the walls? Are there specific anchors or mounting systems that are especially suitable for this situation? Thanks in advance for your tips and experiences!

always use plywood boards as a base.Exactly, I would also like to add that the choice of material for the substructure is important. Plywood or other sturdy wood panels are better than simple particle board because they warp less.
Additionally, when working with drywall partitions, make sure to choose screws that penetrate at least 40 mm (1.5 inches) into the wooden studs.
One more tip: before installing everything, test the weight of the filled cabinets – the heavier they are, the more carefully you should plan the fastenings.

For different wall types, the fastening of the brackets should always be adapted accordingly: solid wall – universal anchors, drywall – metal anchors or stud finder, drywall construction – reinforcement with wooden panels.
Additionally, I recommend installing several smaller cabinets rather than one very large one on thinner walls. This reduces the risk of excessive load.
