Hello, I was just about to assemble the front panels for the above-mentioned cabinet using these hinges, which provide the movement. Do you have to use brute force here? They won’t connect. I have to say, the instructions for this kind of thing at Ikea really aren’t well illustrated!

Please be more specific about what is not working there. Otherwise, no one will understand.

Referring to the assembly instructions makes it easier to understand. There are two corner base cabinets. I assume you mean the 90cm x 90cm (35.5 inches x 35.5 inches) one and are having trouble with step 15 of the assembly instructions. Force is not the solution here. On the contrary, you need to handle it gently. First, attach the hinge arm to the mounting plate at an angle. I estimate about a 30° angle. Make sure the pin shown with dashed lines is positioned in the groove of the mounting plate. Then press the hinge arm firmly onto the back of the mounting plate. It will click into place.

Sorry, you are right, I was a bit frustrated. But you’re correct, it’s about the 90x90 cm (35x35 inches) cabinet with the carousel and step 15 of the assembly instructions. Unfortunately, I’m still stuck, but I will try again following your instructions. From the picture, it’s not really clear how exactly the two parts fit together. Do you attach the small “pin” and then push the hinge backward? Or do you have to hook the upper part onto the lower part somewhere?

The rings fit into each other. It’s not the same hinge, but the principle is the same.
Simply press down from the front, and it will work. Sometimes you may need to apply some force, as it can be quite difficult to push in the first time.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you all in advance!

Update: This is how it worked out 😀
