Hello everyone,

We are currently facing an increasing number of questions and decisions.
The house will have a white plaster facade, and the windows are ordered in anthracite (outside).

Now, regarding the garage door.
The garage is located directly next to the front door (planned in anthracite). So far, we wanted an anthracite-colored door, but apparently, because of the south-facing orientation, there are often issues in summer with the door warping or expanding due to heat, making it difficult to open.
We are now unsure whether to choose a white door and how that would look. Perhaps the garage plaster color could be changed as well? (The window at the back, however, is ordered in anthracite.) Or maybe a different door color? Do you have any ideas or have you solved a similar issue at your home?

Hello,

My parents have had white sectional garage doors with a woodgrain texture for about 15 years. Their neighbor has the same doors but with a smooth surface.

Both parties now have scratches on their doors (from fallen bicycles, playing children, etc.)—however, these are barely noticeable on the woodgrain texture, you really have to look closely. I don’t find the doors dirty at all so far, which might also be because the doors are gently cleaned with a pressure washer every spring.

We were also recommended the woodgrain surface texture, which we then ordered—although in window gray.

Regards,

Dirk

Completely smooth finishes are not an option for us. Does anyone have experience with sandgrain or micrograin textures?

How are the window frames on the house? Mixing different designs is always somewhat risky in my opinion. You really need to take a close look at it.
