Hello, maybe someone can help.
I bought an Ikea Besta cabinet
(60x40x128cm (24x16x50 inches)).
Assembly was easy, installed the doors and shelves. While adjusting the doors, I noticed the cabinet frame is warping to the left.
The frame is aligned straight and not mounted to the wall. The doors are on the right side. I have to push the top of the frame slightly to the right because it pulls to the left, about 2.5cm (1 inch) I would say. In my opinion, the back panel is causing this since it doesn’t provide the necessary stability. This becomes clear when you remove the top panel. The side panels are warped to the left. Does anyone have any ideas without mounting the cabinet to the wall?

How much is it shifting to the side?
I’ve never experienced Besta acting up like that.
Do you mean the tilt hinge, or the wall bracket? But that’s not for angular adjustment.
I would also temporarily nail the back panel. Align it at a right angle beforehand.
That’s right. I’m now using Metod sideboards as well. It’s about 2.5 cm (1 inch), I would say.

Are the feet and wall spacers already adjusted so the cabinet is level? And then screwed to the wall?Since my walls are uneven, I have to raise the front feet of the cabinet quite a bit to make sure it sits straight against the wall at the back. Screwing or fastening it to the wall is not an option because there are two power outlets with their wiring there.Similar topics
