hamburg_erin23 May 2011 21:19Or 2x the 2-seater to create a long 4-seater?!
Does anyone have an idea if this is possible?
I can’t make sense of it from the manuals/product information (PDF from Ikea.de) of the series. #
Thanks!!!

IKEA-Experte24 May 2011 15:09As I understand it from the instructions, it is basically possible, but there are two issues.
1. The threaded rods might be too short to connect the two sofas in the middle. Suitable screws could be sourced.
2. The bigger problem: the legs are attached to the side panels. Additional supports or the legs of the remaining side panels would need to be installed in the middle. Whether this is doable cannot be determined from the drawings and depends on your DIY skills.

hamburg_erin24 May 2011 15:36... yes, I think the biggest issue is with the feet. The corner sofa doesn’t help in this regard either, since the side parts are “hung” in place.
As you mentioned, you could connect the two sofas with screws (or longer ones), and then you would need to attach a “joining board” and/or brackets under the sofas to which you could screw the legs.
