Hello everyone,
Recently, I bought a SUNDNES bed on eBay, just the rattan and metal parts, but without screws or other fasteners.
I thought it would be pretty straightforward to go to IKEA and ask for the screws, but they simply didn’t know the bed! No one was familiar with it, and it wasn’t even in their database...
So my question is: Can anyone tell me what kind of screws (and nuts) I need? It’s the "standard" 1.40 x 2.00 meters (4 ft 7 in x 6 ft 7 in) IKEA SUNDNES bed.
Many thanks,
Stan

Wunderkind29 Dec 2011 19:31Hello,
nice that this thread already exists...
I would like to ask again which screws I need!
The ladies at the IKEA customer service hotline have no idea but will send us the screws if we find out which ones they are...
Many thanks in advance!

Wunderkind30 Dec 2011 13:11@ IKEA-Experte thank you very much!
Are these screws for the different bed sizes? Ours is 1.40 x 2.00 m (4 ft 7 in x 6 ft 7 in).
Because 32 screws do not fit there.

Two threaded rods are screwed into each end of the side panels. Using sleeve nuts, the front and back panels are attached to these rods. The other components are screws and plastic nipples used as spacers, which may still be installed.

Wunderkind30 Dec 2011 19:35And thanks again!
The bed is currently in the attic, and I really can't remember the last time it was assembled, which was about 5 years ago.
Do you work at IKEA IKEA-Experte?
