ᐅ Attaching Kvartal sliding curtains to a Pax wardrobe frame from IKEA

Hello IKEA fans!

I bought several Pax carcasses and would like to close them off with sliding curtains. I want to attach the rail directly to the cabinet, not to the ceiling or wall. Do you have any experience with this? I’ve searched all over the internet, but either regular curtains were used or the Kvartal system was installed on the ceiling.
Will the cabinet hold if I screw the fitting into it, or will the veneer peel off?
