Hello,

A few weeks ago, I bought an Ivar shelving unit, including the side panels and shelves. However, I can’t find any assembly instructions either in my home or at Ikea. I also can’t find any screws or other hardware. My question is: how do I attach the shelves to the side panels? Do I just need to provide my own screws?

Thank you very much!

Hello, metal pins should be welded in plastic and stapled to the wood. The pins fit into the holes, and then the shelves are placed on top. Only the support cross is screwed in.

On the side panels or on the shelves. I don’t think it matters; I can’t find anything like that in my apartment. I will check if it’s possible to buy replacements.

LOL, it looks like they are stuck in the shelves, see the picture. Are those the correct pins? I can’t find anything else.

Edit: I can’t upload the picture here. In any case, there is a metal pin inserted into the plastic strips on the left and right sides of the shelves, which can be removed with pliers. That is probably it.

You should be able to get this from customer service. Part no. 101324. If possible, bring the receipt with you.
