Hi,

I designed a large cabinet online, picked up all the parts, and now many of them are in the basement.

I’m a bit stuck because I don’t know exactly where to start.

I thought I would first assemble the frame lying down, then lift the cabinet upright and continue with the interior. I have lighting inside the cabinet—will this plan work as I imagine, or do I need to consider anything regarding the lighting during assembly before standing the cabinet up from the floor?

I didn’t receive any instructions. Where can I find out which item numbers or parts I need for the “frame”? How do I connect the 4 carcasses to each other? Since I only have individual parts, it’s not obvious that I want to “clamp” 4 carcasses together.

I hope you understand my situation and can give me some tips. Thank you very much!

What kind of cabinet is this, and where did you configure it?

Assembling the cabinets lying down and then standing them up also depends on the cabinet height and ceiling height. I had to assemble my cabinets standing up.

An Ikea Pax wardrobe. 4 carcasses. 2x 1m*2.36m (3.3ft*7.7ft) and 2x 0.5m*2.36m (1.6ft*7.7ft). The room height is 2.65m (8.7ft). I originally wrote my post in the PAX forum Hope you can help me 🙂

Pax assembly instructions can be found on Ikea’s website, available for download on the product page.

Can’t find them. Either I’m missing something or I’m always redirected to the PAX configurator.
