Hello everyone,

I have a question for the community that has been on my mind for a while: Are there online suppliers offering a wide range of replacement parts for the IKEA Malm furniture series?

I am specifically looking for various spare parts such as drawer slides, rollers for the dressers, possibly handles, and shelves. I am especially interested in whether these items can be reliably purchased from third-party sellers or if you can only find them directly from IKEA.

Does anyone have experience with online stores that carry a broad selection of Malm replacement parts, including compatible aftermarket options? Or is the selection very limited, meaning repairs usually require DIY improvisation?

I would appreciate any recommendations for reputable suppliers, tips on availability, or even feedback on the quality of the replacement parts. Thanks in advance!

The question is valid, but by „wide variety“ I mean significantly more than just a few replacement drawer slides or handle sets.

From my research, IKEA itself does offer some parts, but the range is quite limited and not all components are available individually.

There are various third-party suppliers online, but I would be skeptical about whether the quality and fit are truly reliable, especially when it comes to mechanical parts like drawer slides.

What’s important to me is: Are there any testimonials from users who are satisfied with third-party spare parts? Because only having concrete examples of quality or feedback makes the market seem promising.

Maybe someone here can share their own experience and recommend where to find a genuinely wide selection with good quality online?

IKEA itself offers spare parts, but the selection is limited.

You can also find them online through third-party sellers, especially on Amazon or eBay.

Drawer slides and rollers are usually the easiest to find.

Handles are often standardized, so there are many alternatives.

Quality can vary, so make sure to read reviews.

I consider this question very important. You often hear about a "wide selection" online, but if the parts are not original and don’t fit precisely, that’s not very helpful.

That’s a good tip, but reviews are often subjective and not always reliable regarding long-term durability or fit.

Therefore, my question to the group: Has anyone used third-party replacement parts for Malm furniture for a longer period and can share experiences about durability and fit? I’m especially interested in drawer slides since they are subjected to mechanical stress.

Also, are there specialized stores truly focused on IKEA furniture offering a wide selection? Or is it mostly large platforms with a changing range of products?
