I am currently looking into purchasing an Ikea Pax wardrobe system for my bedroom and have come across a question I would like to discuss here: Are there Ikea Pax wardrobes with particularly tall shelves or shelf heights, meaning higher than the standard shelf levels, to accommodate larger or bulkier items?

So far, I have only seen the typical shelf heights spaced roughly every 30 to 40 cm (12 to 16 inches), but for my needs, it would be important to know if there are versions with significantly larger spacing or if there are options like special solutions or shelf extensions available.

Perhaps someone has experience with either officially taller shelves from Ikea or modifications they have made themselves. I would be very grateful for any advice on dimensions, available products, or general tips!

I wanted to add that I am specifically planning for a shelf width of 50 cm (20 inches) per shelf board, and the cabinet height is about 236 cm (93 inches), which is the standard Pax height. Within this framework, I am looking for something that goes beyond the standard shelf height, meaning shelves with more than 39 cm (15 inches) of vertical space, especially for bulky items like larger suitcases or thick books.

What about the height options for Pax? Are there taller frames available, or any accessories that allow you to effectively build the wardrobe higher, such as extension frames or additional boxes?
