I want to know if I can get doors with magnetic closures directly from Ikea when planning my wardrobe solution, or if I need to rely on external options. Great question! I’ve just renovated my PAX wardrobe and thought it was great that, although there are no original integrated magnetic catches, there are actually many solutions available on the market! For example, you can easily attach small magnets to the inside edge of the doors – they hold really well and are super simple.

I think it creates a really nice effect because the wardrobe closes much more quietly and at the same time more securely. So: don’t worry! Magnetic catches for PAX are definitely doable – just not factory-installed by Ikea. Don’t let that discourage you and give it a try; it’s definitely worth it!
