UskoluHello everyone, I’m planning to furnish my bedroom with Ikea Brimnes furniture and would like to know if anyone has tips for making the best use of it. Specifically, I’m interested in efficient storage solutions and how to combine the furniture in a way that doesn’t overcrowd the room but still provides enough space for clothes and other items. I’m also open to recommendations on how to maintain the quality and durability of the Brimnes series, especially regarding frequently used drawers and doors. Does anyone use the beds with built-in storage, and what has been your experience? Thanks in advance for your help!

For beds, you can use storage boxes underneath instead of loosely storing small items, keeping everything organized.

Does anyone use beds with built-in storage, and what are your experiences?I have been using the Brimnes bed with storage for over two years. It is important not to overload the drawers, as this causes the sliding rails to wear out more quickly. When assembling, you should follow the instructions very carefully—especially the alignment of the rails is crucial for long-lasting functionality.
To optimize space, I recommend complementing dressers and wardrobes with organization systems from IKEA (e.g., shelves, dividers). This helps prevent clutter and keeps things more organized.
If you value durability, you should clean the surfaces occasionally with a soft, damp cloth and avoid using harsh cleaners.
I’m curious, how large is your bedroom and how much storage space do you need exactly? Do you already have other furniture pieces that you want to incorporate?

If space is really limited, dressers with a shallower depth are more practical than wardrobes because they can be positioned more flexibly. For the bed drawers, applying a light glide wax on the runners helps prevent squeaking and protects the mechanism.
From personal experience: use smaller boxes or baskets inside the drawers to keep everything organized and to avoid having to search for individual items.
Regarding the look: Brimnes in white appears very clean and works well with minimalist designs. Adding some wooden flooring or rugs brings warmth and contrast, which is worth considering.
