I am planning to equip my KALLAX shelf unit from IKEA with glass doors. My specific question is: Are there glass doors available for KALLAX, meaning matching glass doors that are sold specifically for the KALLAX shelf? If so, where is the best place to find them? So far, I have only seen wooden or fabric doors for KALLAX and nothing with glass.

However, I want to encourage you: I was able to get custom-made glass doors with the help of a carpenter, and they looked even better than any standard product I found online. Of course, it costs a bit more, but the quality was impressive.

@naudan, yes, I generally have some experience with DIY materials, but I’m missing suitable hinges and I’m still unclear about the exact mounting method. Does anyone have a recommendation for which hinges work best for glass doors on KALLAX?
Also, how about the stability when mounting glass doors on the KALLAX? Of course, I don’t want the doors to break off after a while or the glass panels to be too heavy.
