Hello everyone,
I hope this is the right subforum... if not, please feel free to move it...
It’s about the staircase shown in the picture (a standard prefabricated house staircase), which I don’t like at all, but it was already installed. Do you have any ideas on what could replace these balusters/railings to improve the overall look?
I was considering glass panels, but from a finger safety perspective with a toddler, it’s a bit tricky...
I’d really appreciate any suggestions. Thank you very much.

Adding glass to this country-style staircase looks terrible and will get smudged very quickly, even without a toddler around, unless you enjoy cleaning it constantly 🙂

Better to have a fully country-style one than a half-and-half. Maybe it’s really an option for us.

For our staircase, we chose straighter balusters and a square newel post on the handrail instead of a round one. It still looks completely country style to us but isn’t too ornate, so it can be appreciated for longer (including by my husband 🙂 ).Similar topics
