Jenne20Hello,
we have the above sink and are completely dissatisfied with it because you can really see EVERY water spot on it.
We have already been to IKEA, and they would accept it back with a hole.
However, it seems difficult to find a sink of the same size, as the countertop shape is supposed to be retained.
Does anyone have any ideas?
The internet does not offer much for the size 88 cm * 53 cm (35 inches * 21 inches), or I have not found anything.

IKEA-Freund16 Dec 2016 10:32Unfortunately, the name of the sink is missing. 88*53 cm (35*21 inches) is the external dimension; what would be more relevant for you is the size of the cutout in the countertop. Otherwise, this cutout can, of course, still be enlarged...
Best regards,
IKEA-Freund
P.S. If it is the sink I suspect, the cutout should be 10 mm (0.4 inches) smaller on all sides.

IKEA-Freund16 Dec 2016 11:40The issue is the depth of the cutout (best to measure again). The DOMUS D-100 recessed sink might fit (external depth 525mm (21 inches)); if necessary, the cutout in the countertop would need additional supports.

IKEA-Freund16 Dec 2016 13:45Hello,
You can’t really see them clearly. According to the technical drawing, the sink mentioned has a 525mm (21 inches) deep frame – your countertop cutout (if done according to the Ikea instructions) should be just under 510mm (20 inches), so it will be completely covered. That’s why I’m asking how large the cutout actually is.
By support, I meant battens of suitable thickness that are screwed flush with the countertop surface from underneath into the cutout to enlarge the support area for the sink (according to the manufacturer, only a 480mm (19 inches) cutout is necessary). I have no personal experience with the model mentioned – maybe the composite sinks from Ikea could also fit?
