Phil_Wilke1128 Jul 2015 15:41Hello everyone,
I have already checked if this topic has been discussed before, but I couldn’t find anything.
I have four connected Pax wardrobes and fitted them with sliding doors.
My problem is the end trim between wardrobe 2 and 3. Usually, metal strips are installed at the ends, but when connecting all the wardrobes, there is no space for this.
Do I need to pull the wardrobes apart and leave out the trim, or is there a better solution?

IKEA-Experte8 Jul 2015 16:00Hello, this question has come up before, but I haven’t seen a clear solution.
I would leave it without trims if there are no issues with that; otherwise, separate the carcasses. Another option could be to modify the trims so they can be screwed on as they are, but to me, that effort would be too great.

This issue also came up for me recently. I chose a solution that might seem a bit elaborate but looks quite neat.
In my case, I bought cut pieces of birch plywood measuring 236 cm x 10 cm x 1.2 cm (93 inches x 4 inches x 0.5 inches) from OBI. Before installing this "strip" as a spacer between the cabinets (of course not between the cabinets that share the sliding doors), I applied black self-adhesive film to the narrow end to match the cabinet design. I mounted the strip about 6 mm (0.25 inches) recessed on the outer (right or left) carcass side of the cabinets. For this, I had to get longer connector screws because the original screws (100402 & 100644) are now too short by the thickness of the strip.
Since I am new here, I am not yet sure if or how I can upload photos...

IKEA-Experte15 Jul 2015 17:32Hello, thank you for the post. You can upload photos to the gallery. After uploading, a link will be displayed that you can select, copy, and paste.
In the top image, the spacer bar is barely visible, as it is black on black.
Therefore, the second picture shows a horizontal cross-section. The diagram illustrates the situation between cabinet 2 and cabinet 3.
This does not exactly match the photo, as here a cabinet with a sliding door is next to a cabinet with a hinged door. If anything is unclear, feel free to ask again...
